Team Liquid Wins Valorant Champions 2023
In a stunning reverse sweep, Team Liquid claimed the Valorant Champions trophy against Evil Geniuses in Berlin today. The European squad overcame a 0-2 deficit to win three straight maps and claim the $1 million first prize.
The final match drew over 1.2 million concurrent viewers across streaming platforms, setting a new record for Valorant esports. Team Liquid's star player "ScreaM" was named MVP of the tournament.
League of Legends Worlds 2023 Locations Announced
Riot Games has revealed that the 2023 League of Legends World Championship will be held across multiple cities in South Korea. The tournament will begin with Play-Ins in Seoul, move to Busan for Groups and Quarterfinals, and conclude with Semifinals and Finals at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
This marks the return of Worlds to South Korea since 2018, when Invictus Gaming won the title. Ticket sales will begin September 1st through Interpark.
CS:GO Major Coming to Paris in 2024
Valve has announced that the first Counter-Strike 2 Major Championship will be held in Paris, France in May 2024. The tournament will be organized by ESL and feature 24 teams competing for a $2 million prize pool.
This will be the first Major played on the new Counter-Strike 2 engine, which is set to launch this summer. The last CS:GO Major in Paris was in 2018, won by Astralis.
